CZ PeriCare II sees development cooperation as more than simply providing medical equipment. At the heart of the project is the transfer of Czech expertise and the creation of conditions that enable Cambodian healthcare professionals to use, develop and share the knowledge and tools they acquire over the long term..
The project has two main objectives:
- to improve the quality of the healthcare system, benefiting pregnant women, mothers and their families in the target areas;
- to strengthen the capacity of the National Pediatric Hospital as a medical training centre, develop healthcare professionals’ expertise, and improve the conditions and equipment of healthcare facilities.
To achieve these goals, we bring together several complementary areas: professional education, exchange placements for Czech and Cambodian healthcare professionals, online mentoring, standardisation of clinical procedures, digitalisation of perinatal care, systematic data collection, and medical equipment.
