The Assisted Reproduction Centre at the General University Hospital in Prague has been helping couples with fertility problems since 1994. It is part of the Department of Gynaecology, Obstetrics and Neonatology of the First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, and the General University Hospital in Prague, and is one of its key specialised centres.
The centre aims to provide couples who are unable to conceive naturally with comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of infertility, selecting the most appropriate approach for their individual situation.
Current treatment options include not only conventional IVF (in vitro fertilisation), but also intrauterine insemination (IUI), ICSI and PICSI, assisted hatching, vitrification of sperm, oocytes, embryos and ovarian tissue, egg donation programmes, and preimplantation genetic testing of embryos in cooperation with a genetics laboratory.
The centre also uses modern laboratory procedures and technologies that make it possible to individualise treatment and improve its quality. The facility has an established quality management system and is ISO 9001 certified..

New diagnostic and laboratory methods, modern medical equipment and specialist training for healthcare professionals make it possible to identify the causes of infertility with ever greater precision and select the most appropriate treatment for each individual couple.
The VITA ET FUTURA Foundation supports the development of the centre and helps create the conditions necessary for the Assisted Reproduction Centre to provide care at a high professional standard and to introduce modern approaches in reproductive medicine.
