CZ PeriCare II \u2013 Czech know-how for a healthier future for mothers and children in Cambodia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The CZ PeriCare II project builds on long-term cooperation between Czech and Cambodian healthcare professionals in the field of maternal and child care. Its aim is not merely to provide one-off assistance, but above all to build a system that will work sustainably in the long term \u2013 through well-trained local healthcare professionals, high-quality data, modern digital tools and procedures that can be applied in everyday clinical practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The project connects Czech experts with the National Pediatric Hospital in Phnom Penh and healthcare facilities in Kampong Chhnang Province. The cooperation includes professional training placements in both the Czech Republic and Cambodia, online mentoring, the development and implementation of working procedures, the development of digital tools, and the training of healthcare professionals. During the very first year of the project, the professional capacities of local teams were strengthened and the foundations were laid for a sustainable, long-term system of cooperation. Cambodia Maternity Hub<\/strong> enables healthcare professionals to electronically record and evaluate data relating to the care of pregnant women, mothers and children. These data can help to better identify high-risk pregnancies, monitor the quality of care provided and plan the further development of healthcare services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2026, active data collection was launched in all 52 healthcare centres in Kampong Chhnang Province.<\/strong>As of 30 June 2026, the system contained data on approximately 1,200 pregnant women.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Investing above all in people<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Knowledge transfer is a fundamental principle of CZ PeriCare II.
